Hearts Come Home Candle

Putting stamped images onto candles has been around for a long time but up until now I hadn’t tried it.  Well, now I’ve had a go, I don’t want to stop! I did manage to melt a big blob on my practice candle but on the most part it’s pretty simple.

The inspiration for this one came from a card made by Canadian demonstrator, Mi Ran Bigrigg.

I have used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set for the background trees.  Santa’s sleigh and the houses are from the Hearts come Home stamp set which is one of my favourties from the 2017 Holiday Catalogue.

There are tons of YouTube tutorials for getting the stamped image onto the candle.  Basically, you stamp onto tissue paper, the type you would wrap a gift in.  Place it right side up onto your candle and wrap tightly with wax paper (I couldn’t find any so I used cooking paper which worked fine).  Hold onto the cooking paper at the back to keep it nice and smooth over your image. Heat the image gently with a heat gun until you see it darken slightly.  Remove cooking paper and you’re done!

i think these will make great gifts for Christmas or as a centerpiece for the table.  I hope you’ll give it a try.
